New Wroxham Barns iPhone and Android App

Owners of iPhones and android phones can now download a free Wroxham Barns app created by Mark Oakden of Norfolk business Pocket Places. The app provides all the latest information about Wroxham Barns on the move.

In a first for a Pocket Places app, Mr Oakden has included a facility for Wroxham Barns’ latest news and offers along with the restaurant menu. Information about the main elements of a visit to the barns are also featured – Junior Farm, minigolf and funfair, shopping and craft studios, as well as opening arrangements and a location map.

Mark Oakden explained: “The new app is more than just an electronic version of the Wroxham Barns leaflet. I am really pleased with the restaurant menu facility, which gives people the chance to choose and book lunch before they arrive. The news section is a totally new development for one of my apps. News and offers will automatically update. Once the app is downloaded all content runs from the phone, so access to information is almost instant.”

Ian Russell, Director Wroxham Barns said: “We are really pleased to have our own app. Having the ability to send our latest news direct to our customers’ mobile phones is a very exciting development for us. “

Pocket Places, www.pocketplaces.info, has produced apps for Norwich, Norfolk, Norfolk Broads, Cambridge and London. A new comprehensive Norfolk-wide app is currently in production.

Wroxham Barns, www.wroxhambarns.co.uk, tel. 01603 783762 is open daily 10am to 5pm, 10 miles from Norwich, take A1151 to Wroxham then follow brown and white tourist signs for 1.5miles on the Tunstead road. Free parking.
